Explorer Program
West Metro Explorers
The West Metro Explorers Programs offers an opportunity for young adults ages 15-21 to develop firefighting skills and gain hands-on experience through training, teamwork, and practice scenarios.
About the program
West Metro Explorers learn the fundamental principles of firefighting, including PPE and tools-of-the-trade, develop a comprehensive understanding of firefighting tactics and techniques, as well as gain practical knowledge in conducting search and rescue operations. Alongside technical skills, the program fosters critical thinking and problem-solving, as well as promotes effective decision-making in high-pressure situations.
